Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting here on Saturday in which matters relating to import of wheat from various countries and proposals in this regard were reviewed. On this occasion, the Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif directed the food department to fulfil the demand of 7.5 lakh tonnes wheat for the province from imported wheat.
Punjab Food Minister Nadeem Kamran Malik, Secretary Finance, Secretary Food and Director Food also attended the meeting. Meanwhile, Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Dr Shamshad Akhtar called on the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Chief Minister's Secretariat during the day. Banking system, system of financial institutions, economic condition and other matters were also discussed in the meeting.
