Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director General and former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad held an extensive meeting with the coaching staff in Karachi, an directed them to divert their energies for the improvement of the game at the grassroots level.
"It is imperative for upliftment of the game that proper coaching is provided at the lower level," he told coaches, analyst and physio and other connected with the game during the meeting at the National Stadium. Javed Miandad held a three-hour meeting with Sindh chief coach and former Test paceman Jalaluddin, coaches Azam Khan, Haris Ahmed Khan, Sagheer Abbas.
Members of National Senior Selection Committee Shoaib Muhammad and Basit Ali were also present on the occasion. He directed the coaches and other staff members to visit schools and colleges and impart training and coaching to the young cricketers to get technically better brand of cricketers in the future.
Javed Miandad asked the coaching staff to play their part in improving club cricket because this was the most important area in the development and promotion of cricket. He said the PCB was preparing a comprehensive plan for free coaching and training of promising cricketers.
