Jammu & Kashmir United Jehad Council (UJC) has strongly condemned the killing of people in Mumbai blasts and maintained that UJC has no role in these blasts, says a report reaching here on Sunday from across the Line of Control (LoC).
In a statement a spokesman of UJC, Sadaqat Hussain quoting its chief, Syed Salah-ud-din said that the UJC was strongly against the killing of innocent people and no outfit or individual would be ever allowed to commit the crime.
He said that the network of Kashmiri freedom fighters was confined to the Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir and the occupying Indian security forces and their installations were their targets.
He denied any role of UJC in Mumbai blasts but said that for the past 60 years, government of India and some fanatic groups were mercilessly victimising the minority communities. He said that there have been more than 37,000 incidents of communal riots in which people of minority community have been targeted and their properties set ablaze besides religious places desecrated in various parts of India.
Syed Salah-ud-din said that the mass killings in the incidents of Samjhauta Express, Malegaon blasts and Gujarat riots were attributed to militant outfits but there were strong evidences that high level Indian security force officials, politicians and religious leaders were behind those inhuman acts. He viewed that these acts were aimed at defaming the image of Pakistan and Muslims and used as a tool to victimise Muslims.
