Cardiovascular disease: 'PIC to be made a model institute'

The Medical Superintendent of Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) has said that PIC will be made a model institute for treatment of the cardiovascular disease for the benefit of people from inland as well as outside of the country.
He said that for the purpose of extending state of the art medical facilities to the patients, the institute is being provided all possible assistance from the government. He said that doctors, nurses and paramedics of Multan and Faisalabad institutes of Cardiology were also provided specialised training at PIC, therefore, the institute has become mother institute for other hospitals of cardiovascular diseases.
In a statement issued here on Sunday he said that a new and state-of-the-art facility is being provided with a cost of Rs 15 million for replacement of heart valve of cardiovascular patients.
