Sridevi’s recent release ‘Mom’ is doing relatively well on the box office but the actress is feeling incomplete without her fellow Pakistani co-stars in the movie. Sridevi’s couldn’t hold back her tears as she missed her on-screen daughter Sajal Ali and husband Adnan Siddiqui, while talking about the movie in her latest video.
Post Uri attack, Pakistani actors have been facing a ban from working in Bollywood and India that has forced the actors to not be a part of their movies promotions. Whilst filming the movie, Sridevi came really close to Sajal Ali and developed a mother-daughter like relationship; the actress was saddened to not be with her during the promotions and movie release.
The actress broke down in tears as she addresses to Sajal Ali saying: “Sajal I love you… I don’t know why I am becoming emotional. I miss you all. The way you have worked in the film, it is incredible. This film would have been incomplete without you. It is a special moment for us. We have been waiting for this. I miss you all.”
Sridevi has always expressed her love for Sajal. In an earlier interview, the actress spoke about how she and her daughter Jhanvi and Khushi have found a good friend in Sajal, “Well, during the shooting, on the first schedule, we became very close to each other. Even Jhanvi and Khushi used to interact with her and share everything. I feel though she is far away, she is my daughter. She has done an outstanding job and it’s sad that she cannot be here with us (for the promotions),” Indianexpress reported.
‘Mom’ is Sridevi’s 300th movie; the actress is a living legend with all the tremendous success under her belt.
