Rawalpindi Police has started a crackdown against the violators of Marriage Function Ordinance of One Dish and legal action has been taken against 14 people. During marriage functions, these persons were involved in firing, unnecessary firework display, heavy lighting and serving more dishes instead of one dish as permissible under the law.
Police started the action against the violators of Marriage Function Ordinance and Fire work in Mehandi and irrelevant heavy lighting. The involved persons were, Muhammad Mujahid, Muhammad Shahid Iqbal R/O Aria Mohalla, Kamran Khalid, Zahid Mehmood, Junaid Hanif, and Muhammad Ayub R/O Mohan Pura, (area of Waris Khan Police Station), Adeel Sohail R/O Khayaban-e-Sir Syed (area of Peer Wadhai Police Station), Shahid Mehmood of kahuta , Mehboob Elahi and Waheed Elahi (Area of taxila Police Station), Khalid and Zulfiqar of kallar Syedan, Nizam-ud-Din of Rwp Cantt area.
