Rulers showing non-serious attitude: PML-N

21 Dec, 2008

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Central Secretary General International Affairs Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood has said that rulers are showing non-serious attitude to ensure peace and stability in the country, which is essential for progress and prosperity.
The PML-N leader said here on Saturday that if President Asif Ali Zardari cannot honour promises, PPP should quit. He hoped that the PPP government would positively respond to three-point suggestions of Nawaz Sharif.
He said implementation of Charter of Democracy (CoD) in letter and spirit, reinstatement of all judges including Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry with full respect and scraping of 17th amendment is in the best interest of democracy, parliament and Pakistan.
He said Mian Nawaz Sharif has given road map for strong, secure and prosperous Pakistan and now ball is in the court of government. He termed as shameful statement of President Asif Ali Zardari regarding continuation of attacks by US predators. He said that such apologetic statement by the head of atomic power is below dignity and national respect. He said rulers must think about the respect and dignity of the country before uttering any word on important national issues.
