21 Dec, 2008

'Saraiki belt is full of involved activities and we should join it with the vision of our late leader, Benazir Bhutto,' the Federal Minister, Population Welfare, Dr Firdous Aashiq Awan said. Awan was addressing a seminar held by the Population Welfare Department at Nishtar Hospital on Saturday.
The Federal Minister said that a worst type of economic crisis would be created, if population growth is not controlled. Further, she urged the Imams of masjids and religious scholars to play a key role in this regard.
'Population can be controlled only with the help of public private partnership,' she stated adding that some minority group is trying to spread Islam forced by arms and trying to destroy the true image of Islam in Pakistan all over the world. 'The message of peace and love by the Sufi's should be spread all across the country as well as the globe to clarify the concept of Islam,' she added.
