Singapore beat Pakistan Junior women hockey team

Singapore beat Pakistan Junior Women Hockey team by one goal to nil in a classification match of Junior Women Asia Cup Hockey Tournament in Malaysia on Saturday. According to the information received here from Malaysia, Singapore scored the lone goal in the 5th minute of first half.
Coach of the Pakistan team Muhammad Akhlaq said that Pakistani team played well in the match, but unluckily they missed few chances to score goal. Pakistan will now face Chinese Taipei for 7th and 8th position match on Sunday.
Moreover, Pakistani hockey star Rehan Butt named best player of Asia for the year 2008 in Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Congress in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on Saturday. Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Asif Bajwa received the award on behalf of Rehan Butt. AHF also awarded Life Time Achievement award to late Brigadier Manzoor Hussain Atif (Retd) on his services towards hockey.
