Brazil's currency plunged more than 4 percent in early trade on Friday as investors snapped up the US currency around the world. The real weakened to 2.46 per dollar from 2.36 on Thursday. The dollar gained broadly on Friday, trading 1.35 percent stronger against a basket of major global currencies.
