Option to take one-sided action still open: Mukherji

22 Dec, 2008

Indian Foreign Affairs Minister Parnab Mukherji has said option to take one-sided action against Pakistan is still open. He said Pakistan should avoid criticising India, but to extend co-operation. Talking to newsmen here on Sunday he again "advised" Pakistan to fully cooperate and hand over those involved in Mumbai attacks to India.
He said Pakistan instead of refusal of the facts should take stern action against the terrorists involved in Mumbai attacks. "Pakistan's statements are ambiguous, we gave enough proofs and now it is the time that Islamabad should take action", he maintained.
He also demanded that those involved in Mumbai attacks should be handed over to India and suggested not to waste time and take practical steps.
Earlier, Parnab Mukherji said that if Pakistan failed to take action against extremists, India in its own interest would consider every option. He said India had time and again requested its neighbours not to support the acts of terrorism and eliminate the structure, but despite of promises the states have failed to implement them.
