National Assembly Deputy Speaker abruptly adjourns House

Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday abruptly adjourned the House as a number of parliamentarians on a point of order wanted to raise the issue of Gakkhar Plaza incident as well as Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar's daughter scandal.
Soon after the question-hour, several MNAs including chairman NA standing committee on education wanted to raise his concern about ruling coalition for not allowing him to discuss Farah Hameed Dogar case in the meeting of standing committee.
But the speaker sensing the sensitivity of the situation adjourned the House till Tuesday morning. Talking to media outside Parliament House, Abid Sher Ali said that he wanted to raise the issue in the floor as the members from ruling creating hurdles in smooth functioning of the committee proceeding particularly discussing the burning issue of Farah Hameed case.
Earlier, Riaz Hussian Pirzada again demanded of the government to check the voter list whether names of the advisors are existing as they sitting in the Houses without taking oath unlike other cabinet members. Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza asked parliamentary minister Dr Babar Awan to check and inform the House whether names of advisors exist in the voter list.
