Member Provincial Assembly from Mardan, Iftikarh Khan Shagai and local PPP leader Pazeer Khan died on Friday in a fatal road accident in Rajanpur district on their way to Ghari Khuda Bakhsh to participate in the first death anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and PPP leader Liaquat Shabab and MPA Malik Tehmash Khan received wounds in the accident, however their condition was stated to be out of danger, according to PPP sources. The injured were immediately shifted to nearby Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahimyar Khan district and admitted.
All the four PPP stalwarts were boarding a land cruiser when met an accident while saving cycle rider on Indus Highway. Late Pazeer Khan was Tehsil General Secretary of PPP Mardan. Meanwhile, the Governor NWFP and Chief Minister expressed their grief and sorrow over the death of MPA and Mardan PPP leader and prayed for their eternal peace. The late MPA was elected from PF-30 Mardan-VIII.
