The District Development Committee (DDC) has approved 244 development schemes proposed by Tahsil Municipal Administration of Dera Ghazi Khan. Presiding over the meeting of DDC here on Friday, DCO Asdullah said that Rs 133 million would be spent on the approved schemes.
The schemes include water supply, sewerage, repair of city roads, boundary walls of city parks and various government department buildings, and other public welfare schemes. The DCO directed the officers of the national building departments to ensure "quality work" on all these uplift schemes, which must be completed within the stipulated period. He warned that stern action would be taken against negligent officers, and those guilty of corruption.
