Punishment to Benazir Bhutto killers demanded

PPP activists here in a function held in connection with first death anniversary of late PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto called for investigation into the suicide bombing-cum-firing incident at Liaquat Bagh that took the life of the popular political leader of the country.
The function was held under the auspices of People's Youth Organisation (PYO), youth wing of the party here at Peshawar Press Club on Friday. Those who addressed were Himayatullah Khan, Sajjad Hanif, Niaz Mohammad, Jehanzeb Thekedar, Hussein Mohmand, Kamran Haider Kasi, Misbahuddin Khan, Ayub Shah, and Shazia Tehmas MPA.
They paid rich tributes to Benazir Bhutto for her major role in the strengthening of democracy and her efforts for the empowerment of the poor in the country. Activists vowed to carry the mission of Benazir till its achievement. "We don't need a government which will not bring the killers of our leader to justice," Kamran said."
Shazia Tehmas said that party workers had not forgotten the loss of their leader. "It was the sacrifice offered by Benazir that today democracy has been restored in Pakistan and it is our mission now to strengthen it further," she said. Niaz Mohammad recalled the services of Benazir Bhutto for restoration of democracy and poor of the country.
