She aspired for exploitation-free world: Fehmida

27 Dec, 2008

Dr Fehmida Mirza, Speaker, National Assembly, has said that Benazir Bhutto was a visionary, and a stateswoman, and always aspired for a world free from exploitation and discrimination between privileged and underprivileged men and women. She said this in her message on the first death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, being observed on Saturday.
Dr Fehmida said that Benazir had a towering and multi-dimensional personality and was beacon of light for the downtrodden, oppressed and marginalised segments of the nation. She said that Benazir Bhutto had the guts and courage to challenge the worst dictatorship of the time when compared with other contemporary politicians. She bravely faced whatever came in her way, continued to challenge the dictatorships and remained steadfast in her commitment to the people and democracy.-PR
