Sindh chief secretary seeks report on desalination plant's installation at Hawksbay

Sindh Chief Secretary, Fazlur Rehman has directed Additional Chief Secretary, Local Government to submit comprehensive suggestions to the establishment of Provincial level Building Control Authority and District Building Control Authorities on the pattern of KBCA within one week so that illegal and sub-standard constructions could be checked at the very beginning.
Addressing a review meeting of Local Government department on Monday, the Chief Secretary called for making the Human Resource Management functional and said that provision of all basic facilities including water supply and sewerage, health and sanitation to people throughout the Province.
He also sought details regarding desalination plant's installation at Hawksbay and said a written report should be presented in three days. Chief Secretary emphasised on early completion of web sites of LG department and district governments while impediments in the way of releasing UC funds should be removed immediately.
He directed that steps should be taken to revalidate Development Authorities including Larkana Development Authority, which were not devolved to district governments as per laid down rules and regulations, and made them functional as early as possible so that development process is accelerated in Larkana, Sehwan and other districts. Earlier Additional Chief Secretary, LG, Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha highlighted the development projects throughout the Province as well as KWSB schemes.
