Peace in Pakistan depends on normalcy in Kabul: governor

The NWFP Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani on Friday apprised the visiting Japanese Senator Tadashi Inuzuka about the geo-political situation in the region in the backdrop of insurgency in the neighboring country Afghanistan. Tadashi Inuzuka is the member of Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Talking to the guest, the Governor apprised him about the geo-political situation in the region especially in the backdrop of the developments took place over the period of almost past 30-years in the neighboring country. Having close proximity with Afghanistan he said, we are the worst sufferers.
In this connection, he added, the influx of heavy weapons as well as narcotics and the trends of militancy are the top most problems and because of which our socio-economic life has been badly affected. Referring to a point, he said, till the restoration of complete normalcy in that country, the problem would continue to persist in our case as well.
