Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 117,497 tonnes of cargo including 95,007 tonnes of import, 22,490 tonnes of export, 2,376 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The freights comprised of 51,090 tonnes of dry cargo including 32,307 tonnes of general cargo; 4,607 tonnes of wheat; 14,176 tonnes of cement and 66,407 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Dina Queen, Bunga Terasek, Adriatic Arrow, Kapitan Byankin, Clementine, Bunga Kenari and Champion Pioneer sailed out to sea during the reported period. Eight vessels viz Red Sea Spirit, Kapitan Byankin, Team Al-Emirate, Clementine, Bunga Kenari, King Brian, Pacific Arrow and Asdrubal are currently at the berths.
Two ship namely King Brian and Gulf Tiger expected to sail on Saturday while another four vessels viz Bavaria Express, Pacific Arrow, Martha Russ and Al-Aqeela-1 are expected to sail on Sunday. Four ships namely MT Swat, Martha Russ, Bulk Arrow and Fusion-1 due to arrive on Saturday while six vessels viz Al-Sabiyah, Cichem Marbella, H & H Tide, Kota Lambai, Conti Harmony and Emirates Wafi are due to arrive on Sunday.

Three ships namely MT Al-Badiyah, MT Capriole and CV Maersk Novazzano sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another two ships namely MT Al-Deerah and MT Sigas Maud are expected to sail on Saturday afternoon. A total of seven ships namely MSC Hanne, Hammurabi, SC Shanghai, Estere, Berdyansk, QSM Dubai and Sargodha carrying containers, palm oil, cement and rice respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Sea Belle, MV Grand View, MT Capriole, MT Al-Deerah, MT Sigas Maud and MV Haadi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, MEG, diesel oil, VCM and iron ore respectively during the report period. Three ships namely CV MSC Hanne, CV Hammurabi and MT Estere carrying containers, and palm oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Saturday.
Three vessels viz CV Saudi Hofuf, MT Maliau and MT Al-Salam-II carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil due to arrive on Saturday while another ship namely MT Petali Lady is due to arrive on Sunday. Two ships namely Yakima and Wilma carrying wheat and project cargo are also due to arrive.
