05 Jan, 2009

Former Federal Minister and veteran Muslim Leaguer Lieutenant General Abdul Majeed Malik (Retd) said on Sunday that the alliance of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) was in the interest of the country in the prevailing situation along the borders and more over it was quite natural.
He was talking to the various delegations at his residence who called on him. General Majeed Malik urged that the leadership of PML Q and PML N should shun their differences in the interest of the country and for the stabilisation of democracy. He said that if Chaudhry Shujaht Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi would visit his residence for reconciliation, he would ask them that his condition was simple and only one that the reunification of PML Q and PML N is must.
General Majeed Malik warned that the adventurous task of Governor Punjab to topple Punjab govt. would be very harmful and ultimate both PML and PPP would be losers in this game. He was of the view that Pakistan Muslim League have the capacity to adjust all the leaderships from both sides and the only requirement is that the leadership from both sides should apply themselves only for the interest of the country and democracy.
