Protest held against prolonged outages

Most of the shops in Gojra Town remained closed on Monday as a mark of protest against prolonged load shedding. Protestors besieged the office of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) for two hours chanted slogans against officials of Wapda and Pepco for tormenting the people by unscheduled 20-hour shutdown.
Power loom owners, factory workers, traders and members of Anjuman-e-Tajran, Gojra took out a joint rally, which was led by Saif ullah Cheema Advocate, Noor Hussain Ansari, Mian Abdul Aziz, Mujahid Noorpuri, and Muhammad Afzal. Protestors blocked the traffic on various roads, burnt old tyres and protested against unscheduled disruption of electricity and gas supply.
