'Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto empowered Pakistan with nuclear capability'

The Foreign Minister, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a historical figure, who had made empowered the countrry with nuclear capabilities.Bhutto had panted a forceful plant in the form of PPP, which every dictator tried to cut during his reign, but it is still flourishing despite facing years of adversities.
Qureshi was talking to newsmen at the local airport before leaving for Islamabad. He paid rich tributes to ZAB on his 81st birthday and said that the constitution of 1973 was his best achievement on which, we take the oath. 'ZAB gave awareness to the poor and labour class people about their rights and it is just due to his sacrifices that today democracy prevails within the country,' he added.
Earlier, while addressing a ceremony, the Foreign Minister criticised Pervez Musharraf and maintained that the previous eight years of reign of dictatorship is the reason behind the current crisis. 'Current problems would not have been present, if Musharraf would not have diffuse Nawaz government,' he added.
Talking about the energy crisis, he said that the government is trying to resolve this issue. 'We won't have to face such crisis if Kalabagh dam would not have been made controversial.' At the moment, the government is focusing on thermal power generation to tackle the energy crisis, he said adding that the PPP government has just passed through only nine months and it needs time to remove the eight years long mess.
Without mentioning the name of Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Shah Mehmood said that his political rivals couldn't start any development projects in their constituency despite having their government in the province. He also mentioned the Benazir Income Support Programme saying that the PPP government is providing aid to all the poor people without any discrimination. 'The process to provide money to the poor through postal money order has been started,' Qureshi stated.
