Diesel shortage hits public transport in Multan

The shortage of diesel has adversely affected public transport services in the city. Besides, the shortage has hit hard the farmers, who run tubewells through diesel generator and tractors. As long queues of vehicles and customers at different filling stations in the city tell the tales of the on-going fuel crisis across the country.
Commuters are really feeling miserable when they have to wait for hours to get public transport vehicle. Transporters said that they stop their vehicles plyng on different city routes after 10:00pm due to shortage of fuel. They said in normal days they plied vehicles on these routes even after 2:00 am daily.
They said that they have to visit different filling stations in the city to get fuel tanks filled of their buses and it was really a very painstaking exercise for them. On the other hand, people have expressed their anguish over the situation and demanded the government to take measures to end the crises. They said that they were really facing immense problem due to lack of transport.
