30 cops among 42 booked for trespassing

On the orders of IG Police Punjab, city police here have registered a case against 42 persons including 30 policemen for breaking into the house of an MPA, harassing the family and vandalising property. The cops, reportedly working on a case and tracing a call from a mobile phone, forced their way into the house of MPA Tariq Mahmood Bajwa late on Monday night without evidence or search warrants, broke household items and misbehaved with the family.
The 42 persons booked for the trespass include SP Lyallpur Town (Faisalabad) Asghar Ali Yusufzai, Chak Jhumra police Incharge Muhammad Imran, SHO Sahianwala police, and others. Investigation into the matter is under way.
