Punjab Bar Council urges political parties and civil society organisations to give a warm welcome to deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on his arrival in Lahore. Deposed CJP is due in Lahore on January 24 at All Pakistan Lawyers Convention to be held by Punjab Bar Council (PBC).
PBC Vice Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam Sindhu while addressing a press conference with Hassan Raza Pasha, Iqbal Mohal, Arshad Ali Warraich, and Muhammad Iqbal Dhengal said that preparations were underway to give a warm welcome to deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar on his arrival to the city.
Sindhu said that all the provincial bar councils of the country including Azad Kashmir would participate in the convention. To ensure active participation of lawyers in the convention different committees had been constituted at district and tehsil levels, he added.
