Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday met a WHO delegation led by its Regional Director, Hussain A Azizi. His discussed with the delegation focused on prevention of epidemics, provision of polio vaccine and other health related matters.
Shahbaz said to the delegation that the UNO was playing a key role in the betterment of the health system in the province and asked for assistance to establish state-of-the-art organisation for rehabilitation of disabled.
The CM also asked the delegation to assist the governance of the hospitals. The CM said that besides reviving the Board of Governors of teaching hospitals, hardworking and learned professionals were being brought there. He further told in the meeting that the government was providing all facilities to enhance the capabilities of teaching hospitals.
