MIIT to start courses for journalists

Master Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) is starting different courses for journalists from the first week of February. Located at main Peshawar More, Islamabad, the institute would start ELT courses including IELTS especially for journalistic community and their dependants based in the Federal Capital.
The Institute would offer them 30 percent discount for English language courses besides 50 percent discount to those journalists or reporters who enjoyed first division in their entire educational career to serve the cause of journalism at the start of the New Year 2009.
MIIT President Syed Muhammad Zahid informed at a monthly faculty meeting that English language courses had been designed exclusively for intending and professional journalists to improve their journalistic writing skills besides significant improvement in their communicative competence. He said MIIT was also launching IELTS classes for journalists who were proceeding abroad for higher studies in different fields and immigration.
Zahid said MIIT was the pioneer and the oldest in the Federal Capital and was offering for the first time the ELT courses for journalists, reporters and for those who were associated with news agencies based in Islamabad to meet the demands of the global environment and to make them even more proficient in their journalistic career.
