40,000 youth being trained under BBSYDP

Provincial Minister for Works and Services Sindh, Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that 40,000 youths are being given training in Sindh under the Benazir Bhutto Youth Development Programme (BBSYDP) in the first phase while over 19,000 more will be given training in the second phase this year.
Talking to local journalists at Wassan House on Saturday, the Minister said that at present, 5,258 youths are under training in the agriculture department, 6,000 in the education department, 280 in forest, 4,675 in health, 7,000 in IT, 10,000 labour, 3,200 livestock, 1,200 in women development and 2,000 in the Sindh Works and Services departments.
Besides, he said that 58,684 youths planned to be trained this year, 32,864 would be given training in government departments and 25,820 would be given training in the private sector. Wassan also said that the Benazir Support Programme had been launched to eliminate poverty adding that poor women would be given a monthly stipend to lead a respectable life. Further, he said that the government was committed to accomplish the mission of Benazir and honour all her promises made with the people.
