The issuance of Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) to everyone in the backward and far-flung areas of Sindh should be ensured. Provincial Education Minister, Pir Mazhar-ul- Haq directed this on Saturday. He was chairing a meeting regarding the issuance of CNIC through mobile van before the census in Sindh.
The provincial chief of Nadra, Colonel Javed (Retd) and provincial ministers, Ayaz Soomro, Abdul Jalil Memon also attended the meeting. It was decided that CNIC would be ensured in all the backward and far-flung areas of Sindh. Pir Mazhar stressed that these CNICs should be issued at the earliest. He said CNIC should be issued to everyone in the province, especially in the backward areas, as this is a priority of the PPP government. Further meetings would be held to review the pace of the issuance of CNICs.
