Sindh Home Department has, under section 144 Cr.P.C., extended ban on pillion riding for a further period of 40 days from January 11 to February 19, 2009. A Home department notification said that any violation of this order shall attract penal action u/s 188 PPC. It said all the SHOs have been directed to take action against the violators strictly in accordance with applicable laws.
