The Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI). Syed Munawar Hassan on Saturday criticised the government for conferring prestigious medal on people involved in carrying out drone attacks on innocent Pakistanis. 'Instead of agitating on drone killings, the people involved in it were being honoured with medals,' he said.
Hassan demanded that the government of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) should resign if it cannot defend the people of the country. Speaking from JI Headquarters of Mansoora during the day, he said it was unfortunate that people, who had been involved in the murder of innocent Pakistanis, had been awarded with medals.
