Provision of gas to Gumbat, Billitang, Togh, Babri Banda, Ghulam Banda, Shekhan and Razgeer Banda villages of PF-37 Kohat has been approved and practical work in this connection will start soon. Gumbat and Billitang would be avail the utility of gas in the first phase while Babri Banda, Togh Phase-II, Ghulam Banda, Shekhan and Razger Banda would receive the facility in the second phase.
This NWFP Minister for Housing, Malik Amjad Khan Afridi stated this while talking to a representative delegation of his constituency PF-37 Kohat in Peshawar on Saturday. Earlier, the same delegation led by Abbas Khan Afridi also called on the Senior Distribution Engineer of SNGPL, Khalid Pervez where they were told that funds for the same project has already been released and the required machinery to the site would be shifted after its formal inauguration.
Fazal Rabbi, Qaisar Khan, Muhammad Subhan, Haji Haqnawaz, Shakeel Haider and Haji Younas of Gumbat, Dr Farhan Afridi of Babri Banda, Malik Khaliq and Inayat Khan of Billitang, Karim Khan, Hamid Khan and Mian Khan of Togh and Aftab Khan of Shekhan were also in the delegation. The Housing Minister said that the project was pending for the last few years.
However, due to keen interest shown by the NWFP Chief Minister, Amir Haider Khan Hoti, required fund for the project has been released and he along with the MNA from Kohat, Pir Dilawar Shah would soon inaugurate the project. Furthermore, 'Gas was a blessing of Allah the Almighty and an essential utility and we assure that the people of the area would not be deprived of it,' he assured.
Amjad stated that some disgruntled elements were trying to make the project disputed but he clarified that such elements could not succeed in their negative designs and all developmental schemes of the people's interest would be completed without any discrimination and political affiliation.
