Imran and Nawaz discuss million march

Imran Khan the head of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) here on Sunday met Quaid of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and talked to him about million march. The march will be carried on March 9, in Islamabad for the reinstatement of deposed Chief Justice Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Talking to the journalists later, Khan said that protesting against the reinstatement of the judiciary would be massive show and appealed to the civic society, lawyers and political parties to make it successful.
He said the reinstatement of the judiciary was vital for provision of justice to the missing persons and existence of independent judiciary for the best cause of the democracy.
He said a new social contract was necessary under the prevailing situation in the country and it would compromise on all the political parties who truly believed in the democracy. He said a national conference should be called. He said power distribution between the President and the Prime Minister was not according to the constitution, he added.
Dilating further on the million march, he said after the event they would not sit idle and make sure that democracy was there in true form. He said independent judiciary meant reinstatement of Iftekhar Muhammad Chaudhry and hoped that this march would be decisive and successful. Comparing the present government with that of the previous government, he said they felt that it was worst then that.
Talking about rise in prices of essential commodities and utility bills, he said there increase had totally obliterated the poor masses.
