13 Jan, 2009

Government College University (GCU) Registrar Sahibzada Faisal Khursheed has said that an amount of Rs 17.88 million as house rent for the residence of the vice chancellor of the Government College University has been deposited in the National Bank (as per instructions of the S&GAD) and thus nothing is due on the part of the vice chancellor.
He was addressing a press conference here on Monday in response to the allegations made by the president of Old Ravians Teachers and Students Association, former GCU Professor Tauqeer Ahmed. Faisal also said that a FIR registered against the students of GCU has been quashed. He also said that no organisation was registered under this name and the charges levelled against the vice chancellor by Professor Tauqeer were baseless.
