Trade continues despite Pakistan, India tension

Traders from Poonch (J&K) and Hajeera (Azad Kashmir) continued to exchange trade items under barter system despite tense situation between Pakistan and India following the recent Mumbai attacks. A large quantity of potatoes, tomatoes and Pashmina shawls were exported to Azad Kashmir from Indian Occupied Kashmir last day.
Reports said that 7,500-kg potatoes, 5,000-kg tomatoes and 77 Pashmina shawls were exported to Hajeera in Azad Kashmir by the traders of occupied Kashmir, KMS reported. Seventy-seven Pashmina shawls worth Rs 90,000 were exported by shawl trader, Anil Maini. Purchase orders for all these items had been given by Abdul Akbar, proprietor, Datta Agencies, Bandi Abbaspur, Hajeera (Azad Kashmir).
