Serena Hotels preserving ecological environment

As part of the Aga Khan Development Network, Serena hotels are committed to preserve a sympathetic ecological environment, creating employment, reviving and sustaining Pakistan's ancient heritage of craft and traditions, and supporting an extensive education, health and rural support programme.
Serena hotels are created to blend into their environment while featuring traditional ethnic features created by indigenous artisans, keeping in view, Social and Environmental Education Development Program (SEED) which came into existence during 2007. Under this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of Serena Hotels, Pakistan, various activities were initiated according to a predetermined result-oriented plan.
Faisalabad Serena Hotel arranged its first press conference to brief the media about its achievements to date and its plans for the future. Ms Sana Salim, Manager CSR, Serena Hotels was the guest speaker on the occasion. She spoke about the background of the project and its overall objectives at length.
Faisalabad Serena Hotel fulfils its corporate social responsibilities under the banner of SEED (Social & Environmental Education Development) Program. Faisalabad Serena Hotel has adopted four SOS Village Homes as well as two government schools which are MC Boys Primary School Young-wala and MC Girls Middle School Young-wala, for a period of three years.
The hotel has provided the needed furniture to the schools and taken over the responsibility of their maintenance, paint work etc. In the environment sector Faisalabad Serena Hotel has made many improvements on Club Road. Hotel also gives its expertise to Allied Hospital for the maintenance of their accessories like wheelchairs.
