Working for animal rights: data to be prepared about organisations, persons

Livestock and Dairy Development Department Punjab will prepare the database of those organisations and persons working for animal rights so as to get their help to stop cruelty on animals being used for passenger or goods transportation in the country.
This decision was taken at a meeting of the society for curbing cruelty against animals held here on Friday with the Punjab Secretary for Livestock Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan in the chair.
The meeting was also attended by the Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Animal and Veterinary Sciences (UVAS) Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, who was made head of a committee, which would prepare draft of rules and regulations of the society in three-week time. It was also decided that animal loving organisations and persons should be made member of the society to make it more effective.
