Newly formed Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Sindh has failed to gets its office vacated at Sindh Assembly building, which is being used by a retired bureaucrat. Well informed sources in the Sindh government told on Sunday that PAC Sindh Chairman Jam Tamachi Unar and other members of the committee could not evacuate the committee office at the assembly building despite hectic efforts.
Seven years ago, then President Pervez Musharraf government had appointed a retired bureaucrat as chairman of Adhoc Public Accounts Committee of Sindh. When Pakistan Muslim League-Q and PML-F came to power, Jam Madad Ali of PML-F was elected as PAC Sindh chairman.
Jam Madad Ali also tried for many times to get his office evacuated but an influential retired bureaucrat foiled his efforts. Present Chairman PAC and members of the committee including Amir Moeen Pirzada, Shama Mithani, Syed Bachal Shah, Dr Muhammad Rafique, Shoaib Bhai and others have also raised the issue before higher authorities but in vain.
