Minister announces provision of free syllabus

Senior Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq Saturday announced provision of free syllabus to students of Class I to Class-X studying in Sindh University Model Schools in Hyderabad and Jamshoro. The minister announced this during his surprise visit to Sindh University Model School Jamshoro along with Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Rafia Shaikh and Registrar Muhammad Saleh Rajar.
The minister, who reviewed the performance of the school, appreciated the educational standard and said that the government is fully committed to provide quality education to the future generation so that they could meet the challenges of the modern world.
The minister also visited the Government School of Sindh University Colony Jamshoro and announced the upgrading of the school to the level of intermediate for girls from the next academic year. He asked the Executive District Officer Education Jamshoro for provision of required equipment to Science Hall and Laboratory as well as repair and renovation of the school.
He said that notification regarding upgrading of the school from the next year would be issued soon by the government. The minister also asked the officials of Bureau of Curriculum Sindh to make the language laboratory of the school functional with immediate effect.
Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq said that the present government fully desires to promote the literary activities, therefore, the government has decided to organise Urdu-Sindhi mushaira on Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The mushaira will be organised soon by Sindhi Adabi Board at the auditorium of Sindh Museum, he informed.
