Special Magi-strate and Rationing Controller on the directives of DCO on Tuesday made surprise visits to various markets and checked the prices of daily use items and the availability of flour. The raiding party registered 13 cases against for overcharging and not displaying the price lists, says an official statement.
The team found that flour was largely available in the market and that the rate of Punjab flour ranged from Rs 560 to Rs 570 per 20kg bag. They also checked the prices of other essential commodities.
