Punjab Art Council organises art competition

An art competition 'Pakistan-as I see it' organised by Punjab Art Council was held at Open Air Theater of Bagh-e-Jinnah here on Tuesday. More than 500 children of 40 schools of Lahore participated in the competition and expressed their feelings and sentiments by paintings and drawings of different aspects of Pakistan.
Punjab Culture and Youth Affairs Minister Dr Tanveer-ul-Islam distributed prizes among the position holders. Special children also took part in the competition. While addressing the prize distribution ceremony, Dr Tanveer-ul-Islam said Pakistan is a very precious gift of Allah Almighty and a piece of paradise for any Pakistani, therefore every citizen should love his homeland.
Later, the Minister distributed prizes, shields and certificates among the students. The first prize was Rs 5000, second Rs 3000 and third was Rs 2000 in cash whereas special prize was Rs 500 along with certificates. The students who won prizes belonged to Hamza Foundation Academy, Shalimar Special Education Johar Town, Beacon House School, Lahore Grammar School, Crescent Model School, The Punjab School, The City School and AIMS School, Lahore.
