Mohammad Ayaz Soomro, invited as the Chief Guest, expressed such views on the occasion of the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony held on 21st January, 2009 in Commecs Institute of Business and Emerging Sciences (CIBES). He appreciated the previous achievements of Commecs in the field of academics and wished for the same in future.
Speaking on the occasion, he acknowledged CIBES' role in imparting quality education and character building of future generations. The Minister was highly fascinated by the system of education at CIBES and requested its management to set such institutes in nook and corner of the country so that all students get opportunity to be bestowed with such a quality education.
The Annual prizes were given in different categories, ranging from Best Teacher to Best Student awards. Muhammad Tauqeer Khan was awarded as the Best Teacher of the year. In student category awards the Best Girls Student of the year awards were given to Sharmeen Fatima (Jamil Room) and Paiker Zehra (Kaiser Room). Whereas the Best Boys Student of the year awards were rewarded to Laeeq Saleem (UDL) and Mohsin-ul-Ibad Haider (MCB).
The award for the Best Admin. Member went to Shad Mohammad Khan. All the prizes were given away by the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour of the occasion was former Justice Zahid K. Alvi. Arshad Islam, Member Managing Committee and President Commecs Old Students' Association was also present on the occasion. College shields were presented to the Chief Guest by the Executive Director Commecs Educational Trust (CET) Muhammad Arif Dossal and Principal CIBES, Cdr. Abdul Razaq (Retd) PN at the end of the programme.-PR
