The character-building of police officers was as important as their academic and physical training said Khawaja Khalid Farooq Inspector General NH&MP while addressing at Training Institute Shaikhpura. Khawaja Khalid Farooq said that all necessary resources would be provided to train the Motorway police, as he believed a responsible and efficient police force formed the foundation of an organised society.
He said character-building of police officers was as important as their academic and physical training. Khawaja Khalid Farooq said this is the only training institute of Pakistan which specialises in traffic management. As such, it has assumed the role of leader in this field. He further said traffic discipline reflects the discipline of a nation.
Discipline on roads exhibits the true psyche of a nation regarding its civilised behaviour and allegiance to rule of law. The well traffic disciplined society and the strict enforcement of law and order were virtues that could not be achieved without an honest and reliable police force, he added.
He further said training has very important role in every force and we should make this standard at international level. He further explained friendly culture, help, unity, discipline and consistent performance is the hall mark of the NH&MP and these are the basic elements of our training and we should keep it up in every conditions and situation.
Khawaja Khalid Farooq visited the different classrooms and issued different necessary directions to improve the professionalism among the trainees. He expresses satisfaction over the standard of training being imparted to officials. He also expresses his gratification to achieve the landmark of ISO 9001 certification by the training centre.
He expressed his resolve to remain committed to high ideals of professionalism and efficiency. He further stated that it would be taken new heights. He expressed the need to further refine and improve the moral aspects of the officers so that they will be able to discharge the duties in more efficient way.
While giving briefing about the introduction of stress management, attitudinal course in the training centre, he stressed the need of utilising the expertise of professionals. While advising the training faculty to improve their efficiency, he said that teachers are considered to be the role model in our society therefore he stressed upon progressive improvement of professionalism.
The commandant training institute Jehanzaib Jogezai briefed the IG NH&MP about the modern being employing the modern training techniques. The IG was pleased by the efforts of Saleem Bhatti DIG N-5 Central and Jehanzaib Jogezai SSP to maintaining highest possible standard of professionalism in training in Motorway Police training Institute.-PR
