Bearish sentiment prevails on grain market

Easy supplies and falling demand pushed the prices lower on the grain market on Saturday in process of lean business, dealers said. On the cereal side, best quality of sugar fell by Rs 20 to Rs 3775, while the low type did not move any side at Rs 3700 due to balanced demand and supply, they said.
A solo deal was seen on the seed sector as cotton seed oilcake with bag new lost Rs 50 to Rs 800-850, other items were unmoved, they added. On the grams side yellow peas Canada came down with a loss of Rs 100 to Rs 2850-3000, yellow dal peas Canada low quality dropped by Rs 100 to Rs 3100 best type followed suit and fell by Rs 50 to Rs 3300, they added.
Beetle Chana No 1 failed to retain theovernight level partly because of lowdemand, shed Rs 50 to Rs 4500-4700 and Bajra prices could not sustain the last level as the winter is near to end, low variety lost Rs 200 to Rs 1600 and the best type fell by Rs 100 to Rs 2675, they said.
