Eight killed in road accidents

Eight people including three women and a Wapda officer were reported to have been killed while 20 sustained critical injuries in various road accidents. An advertising agency team was returning from Kalar-Khar to Faisalabad on wagon No, PRE-8173 after shooting a commercial.
When they reached Ahmad Nagar, the vehicle rammed into a truck parked on Faisalabad-Sargodha road as the driver, Muhammad Ishtiaq lost control. As a result, the driver, three women Misbah, Rifat and Uroosa were killed on the spot, while at least a dozen of people sustained serious injuries and were rushed to various hospitals for treatment.
In another incident, car of a Sub Divisional Wapda Officer, Muhammad Akram, collided with a passenger coach No 466-GB killing Akram and injuring his friend Asghar Ali. Ali was taken to the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad for medical treatment. Furthermore, a rickshaw driver, Irfan and a child, Hummza were killed and one Friyad was injured seriously, when their rickshaw crashed into a car near Abbaspur. In a fourth accident, a speedy bus crushed a cyclist to death near Shahkot.
