Condolence meeting at Karachi University

A condolence meeting was held on Monday to condole the sad demise of Anam Zebra, a student of Economics in the Evening Program of Karachi University, who was killed when a over speeding truck ran over her Saturday.
The condolence meeting was held at the Arts Auditorium, which was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Akhlaq Ahmed, Director of Evening Programme, Abuzar Wajidi, Chairman, Department of Economics, Dr Shafiqur Rehman and a number of faculty members and students of economics department. The audience mourned the sad and untimely death of Anam Zebra, who was a brilliant student. and a friendly colleague.
She had topped in her class last year. Colleagues of Anam Zebra were particularly aggrieved at the invaluable loss of their friend. Dr Pirzada expressing his sorrow said that loss of Anam Zehra was a loss to the parents, a loss to her colleagues and a loss to the University of Karachi.
He said that she sacrificed her life while seeking knowledge and hence she is a martyr. Late in the afternoon, the Vice Chancellor, Director Evening Program, Chairman, Department of Economics and the Campus Advisor Dr Khalid Iraqi visited the family of Anam Zehra and offered condolence with bereaved family.-PR
