Two postal employees suspended

Federal Minister for Postal Services Mir Israr Ullah Zehri has taken stern notice of the negligence of two postal employees and suspended both of them from service for not supervising the delivery process efficiently and delivering a registered letter to an unconcerned person. A complaint was launched in the minister's office on Monday, 26th January 2009 for the late delivery of a registered letter.
The federal minister ordered a thorough inquiry into the matter and asked the concerned authority to submit a report within 24 hours. The federal minister said that inefficiency and negligence in Pakistan Post will not be tolerable as it causes immense problems to the common people. He said that our mandate is to facilitate the common people and I will make it sure that each and every employee of Pakistan Post will work with complete dedication and a passion to serve the nation. He further added that those who are not willing to deliver the people have no place in the department.
The employees suspended from service are Tazarab Delivery Clerk (BPS-07) Post Mall F-7 Islamabad for not supervising the delivery process to the extent of demand and registered letter is mis-delivered and Tanvir Akhtar Abbasi Postman (BPS-05) Post Mall F-7 for delivering a registered letter to an unconcerned person.-PR
