Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has floated another tender for the purchase of 5,000 metric tons each of super Basmati and IRRI-6 rice of new crop. A TCP official said here on Tuesday that the decision to purchase the rice had been taken on the instructions of the government as a measure to support falling prices of rice.
The tender will be opened on February 17, at TCP head office in the presence of bidders. TCP had earlier floated a couple of tenders for the purchase of IRRI and Basmati rice.
