The NWFP Minister for Sports, Culture and Tourism Syed Aqil Shah has announced the establishment of astroturf hockey stadium at Kohat in the next financial year. He made announcement during a meeting with a delegation of District Kohat Hockey Association at Qayum Sports Stadium Peshawar on Wednesday.
Vice President District Kohat Hockey Association Khalilur Rehman, Haji Faridur Rehman, Manzoor Ahmad Saadat and Secretary ANP District Kohat were included in the delegation. Director Sports NWFP Altaf Umerzai was also present on the occasion. The delegation apprised the minister about the problems confronting in the promotion of sports specially hockey in Kohat.
The delegation demanded to make Kohat Stadium a modern stadium wherein all sports facilities could be available. Syed Aqil Shah assured the delegation that the provincial government in its available resources would take steps for promotion of sports in Kohat.
