Canadian canola futures fall

ICE Canadian canola futures ended lower on Thursday, pressured by weaker outside markets. Benchmark March closed down $3.10 at $418.40 a tonne on volume of 7,510 lots. Canola pricing action followed the lead of Chicago Board of Trade soybeans, which ended lower across the board on Thursday, with the CBOT March off 12 cents at $9.70-1/2.
The Canadian dollar fluctuated in a tight range on Thursday, trading at C$1.2215 to the US dollar, or 81.86 US cents, Thursday afternoon, after ending Wednesday at C$1.2152 to the US dollar, or 82.29 US cents.
